Cool Rowings CR helps people into more movement and activity. In a nutshell CR gets more people to become active in a sport which has so many benefits both physically and mentally.
Weininger Irwin the founder of Cool Rowings is passionate about getting more of us to row.
He is a Community Exercise Officer who loves sport so much that he created his own, WRS (Weininger Resistance Sliding) more about that later!
He's probably best remembered by people, (of a certain age) as the man who beat the likes of Wolf and Warrior to claim the title of the first ever Gladiators Champion in the ITV series of the 1990s.
Weininger welcomes the challenge of introducing people to rowing and beyond.
Your Cool Rowings journey starts here.
Whether it is is an introduction to the basics of rowing or developing into an elite rower we are here to facilitate your journey.

One of our jewels in the crown is our Seniors.
We keep indoor rowing "fun fitness for everyone!"
We cater to Cool Rowings Seniors (Ageless Teenagers) which is getting more of our seniors to engage in a recreational activity that will get them on the "Row!".
Our senior session is called "ROW T Tuesdays"
We have a go and a row then finish the session with a coffee/tea and talk.
We cater to CR Juniors which is for children that are under 11
We use adaptive indoor rowing techniques so that children aged 5 - 11 years enjoy the benefits and introduction to indoor rowing.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
I am the UK's first Gladiator Champion and a former 800m runner. I got my introduction into indoor rowing in my late 30’s.
I was invited to one of the top rowing clubs (Upper Thames Rowing Club) in the UK as a result of producing a time that was recognised by a former world champion. I simply put what I read and understood from reading a Concept II rowing manual. I put it into action, and followed the training plan.
What was apparent at that time in my life, was that I was the only person of colour in a well attended rowing club. Cool Rowings is an entry point for making a difference and addressing this .
Cool Rowings (CR) does not want accessibility to a sport to be hindered by access to the training opportunities/equipment or not feeling included!
CR is a way to address this and I/we look forward to introducing everyone to the benefits and opportunities of
Cool Rowings...
Yeah Man!
